On December 4th, 2020, the Water Infrastructure Finance Authority and the City of Globe closed their Clean Water State Revolving Fund (CWSRF) loan. The loan is for $2,000,000, it has a 20-year repayment term, and carries a 1.674% combined interest fee rate.
Project Description
The project will address several wastewater system issues by eliminating multiple septic systems, completing a study of the city sewer system, rehabilitating a de-chlorination facility, eliminating common lines that are out of compliance, eliminating an open wet well, and addressing deteriorating sewer lines and manholes.
If there are remaining funds after the above projects are completed, Globe has a list of reserve projects that include: replacing additional sewer lines and manholes, installing a chlorine contact chamber, installing a SCADA system, constructing upgraded headworks, and constructing covers for two clarifiers.
