WIFA Closes $224,581 Loan with Cactus-Stellar Limited

The Water Infrastructure Finance Authority of Arizona (WIFA) announced today that it had closed a $224,581 20-year DWSRF loan with Cactus-Stellar Limited. The recently closed loan carries a 2.788% interest rate and features $190,894 in Principal Forgiveness.  

 

Project Description

The purpose of the project is to prevent possible contamination caused by leaks or breaks in Cactus-Stellar’s outdated and failing distribution system by replacing the pipes. This is a critical project to replace and upgrade infrastructure in an existing community (fix-it-first) which will allow the system to maintain compliance.

WIFA is Arizona's administrator of the Cleanwater and Drinking Water State Revolving Funds (CWSRF and DWSRF) and provides funding for drinking water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. The SRF programs function like infrastructure banks by providing low-interest loans to eligible recipients for drinking water and clean water infrastructure projects.
