Introduction

Thank you for visiting the WIFA Web site and reviewing our Privacy Policy. This policy is included to inform you about the information that could be collected online as a result of visiting the WIFA Web site and not as a result of following a link from our Web site to any other Web site. Online Customer Service and Alternatives

WIFA offers many of the services online that you might otherwise transact in person. Our goal is to provide citizens with a more convenient and efficient mean to interact with our agency. If at any time you choose not to proceed with an online transaction, your choice will in no way affect your ability to receive our services. If you prefer to deal with us in person, you may do so at WIFA.

Collection and Use of Information

Information Collected and Stored Automatically. The Web server that hosts WIFA's Web site automatically gathers certain information about the visit in a standard log file. This information never identifies you personally and consists of only the following items:

  1. The Internet domain from which you access the Web site (for example, "xcompany.com" if you use a private Internet access account, or "yourschool.edu" if you connect from a university's domain);
  2. The IP address from which you access the website (an IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer whenever you are surfing the Web); and
  3. The date and time of your access.

We use this information to gather statistics about the amount of use the site receives. Again, we do not automatically record information about you as an individual. WIFA does not share, sell or otherwise disseminate this information. In some limited cases, WIFA may offer customers the option of using "cookies" to facilitate navigation of the Web site.

Understanding Cookies

At WIFA, we use cookies to improve your visiting experience and reduce the time it takes for you to complete such application. Our cookies do not include any sensitive information, but they do help us track which of our Web pages are visited and what services are most often used. Information You Provide

When you apply for Financial or Technical Assistance from WIFA, we ask for the basics - including borrower name, contact name, contact job title, mailing address, telephone, fax number, email address just to name a few. However, WIFA will NEVER collect confidential/sensitive data/information such as Social Security Number, Date of Birth, etc. which are classified restricted personal identifiable information (PII).

Information collected from an application submitted online will be treated in the same manner as the information collected from an application submitted on a hard copy to WIFA. Please know that the information you disclose to the agency will generally become a matter of public record pursuant to A. R. S. § 39-121, et seq., which means that WIFA may be required to provide certain information in response to a public records request or in response to a warrant, subpoena, or other court order.

Please be assured that the application information will be held in strict confidence while WIFA processes your online transaction. WIFA will not share, sell or otherwise disseminate this information to any outside person or entity, except as required or authorized by law.

If you choose to provide us with personal information -- by filling out a form with your personal information and submitting it to us from this Web site -- we use that information to respond to your message and to help us get you the information you have requested. We only share the information you provide with another agency if your inquiry relates to that agency, or as otherwise required by law. Moreover, we do not create an individual profile with the information you provide or give it to any private organizations. WIFA does not collect information for commercial marketing.

If you contact us, we will also collect the information you provide that details the nature of your question or problem to enhance the quality of our Site.

Access and Control Submitted Application Information

Submission of an application is optional. If you choose to apply; the application information you submit is securely stored and can only be accessed using your email address and password. If at any time you wish to update, correct, or access information that you saved to your application, you may do so by visiting eapps.azwifa.gov or click on the "Applicant Login" that appears throughout the WIFA's website.

Information Collected from Children

By statute, all state agencies must comply with the Children's Online Privacy Policy Protection Act of 1998 ("COPPA"), requiring parental consent before collecting any personal information from any individual under the age of 13. View the text of COPPA here

Security

For site security purposes and to ensure that this service remains available to all users, WIFA employs industry-standard methods to monitor network traffic to identify unauthorized attempts to upload or change information, or otherwise cause damage.
